This is Graeme Bernhardt.
He's the man that started North Victorian Bait Company back in the early 80's. You would be hard pressed to meet a better bloke.
Graeme farmed worms and supplied fishing bait practically all his working life. He loved it. Graeme passed away unexpectedly in 2018, but not before leaving behind a fantastic legacy and igniting his family's passion for worm farming.
Col and Paula, Graeme's children, now operate North Victorian Bait Company and are second
generation worm farmers.
They're working harder than ever, to deliver a product and service that Graeme would be proud of.
Col is our head Worm Farmer. He oversees the day to day farm operations. He spends a lot of his working week on the road in one of our refrigerated utes, personally delivering worms to our stockists throughout NSW and Victoria,
Paula handles phone sales and the administration side of North Victorian Bait Company. She is the first point of contact for all stores that receive their stock via Australia Post, and spends the majority of her week calling stockists to discuss their order.

Graeme out the front of the original worm shed. Plenty of wear left in that hat.
Second generation worm farmer Col Bernhardt, enjoying a day fishing in the boat with his nephew Harry. Who knows, maybe he'll be the third generation.
